So, who is Caroline… you ask?

Well, I’m a storyteller and collector of soft, chaotic little moments.

I grew up in the small mountain Kingdom of Lesotho with a very big curiosity about the world.

My mum bought our first television when I was eleven years old, and I swear my life was never the same after that.

Suddenly there were cities I’d never heard of, people who lived completely different lives, and countries that felt impossibly far away. TV made the world look so big, so exciting, and if I’m honest… so much more glamorous than it really is.

From that moment on, I wanted to see it for myself.

I wanted to travel, to experience different places, to meet people whose lives looked nothing like mine, and maybe—if I’m being completely honest—to build a life that felt a little bigger than the one I thought I was supposed to have.

I’ve spent much of my adult life chasing that feeling.

I’ve taken sixteen-hour bus rides to places I’d never been, travelled on budgets that required a little creativity, gotten lost more times than I can count, made friends with strangers from countries I didn’t even know existed, and navigated unfamiliar systems while pretending I knew exactly what I was doing.

Most of the time…

I absolutely did not.

Along the way, I discovered something I wasn’t expecting.

Travel isn’t always as glamorous as it looks.

Sometimes it’s exciting.

Sometimes it’s lonely.

Sometimes you’re standing in an airport wondering why you ever thought leaving home was a good idea.

Sometimes you arrive somewhere new and feel like you’ve found a little piece of yourself.

And sometimes…

you just want to go home.

These days, I call Vilnius, Lithuania home, where I’m discovering that building a life somewhere new can be just as adventurous as travelling somewhere new.

That’s what I’m most interested in these days.

The stories between the big moments.

The messy bits.

The small wins.

The fear that comes before doing something brave.

The homesickness.

The confidence you slowly build without even noticing.

The ordinary Tuesdays that quietly shape your life far more than the once-in-a-lifetime adventures.

That’s what Caroline Wonders is about.

Yes, you’ll find stories about travel, because travel has shaped so much of who I am.

But you’ll also find stories about starting over, finding your place, chasing curiosity, making mistakes, growing slowly, and discovering that life doesn’t have to be extraordinary every day to be deeply meaningful.
